We were called to the building by the building manager following the discovery that newly installed toilets were backing up and flooding.
Our drainage team attended immediately alongside our Drainage Manager to investigate the issue.
Given our extensive experience and knowledge of the drainage system within the building we were able to determine the location of the blockage (beneath a newly tiled floor).
In an attempt to avoid damaging the floor our team undertook several methods to tackle the issue, including: specialist CCTV works, pipe de-scaling with localised high pressure jetting with our internal jetting equipment, all in a bid to avoid breaking out the tiled floor as no spare tiles were available.
Due to the severity of the blockage no other option than to gain access to the drain was available, due to the lack of spare tiles it was critical that the minimal amount of flooring was to be taken out to avoid disruption to the staff.
Our team undertook works throughout the night to get the floor broken out, the drain cleared and new pipe work installed, all before the building occupants returned to work the following day.
With the use of our advanced drain tracing equipment we were able to do this by only lifting 1 single tile.
A great job carried out by our team at short notice.
